Volunteer Opportunities are Now Open

CONCESSIONS 2026

LYS will run concessions at all high school home softball games, which often draw a sizable crowd. Concessions will also be open for many of the youth games, especially if they are on the Varsity field.

Concession Worker: The concession stand should be unlocked by the time you arrive for your shift. If it isn’t, simply ask one of the coaches who will be there to help you. There are Arrival Tasks and Closing Tasks, clearly laid out on checklists on the wall. Just follow those and you will be good to go!

Ideally, we'll offer hot food at high school games as well as youth doubleheader nights or when a larger crowd is expected.

Grill Master (for hot food nights): Prepare some sort of hot food for the concession stand. The Board will make sure that we have all the food in the concession stand for hot food nights, then you will be responsible for grilling and serving it.

Feel free to reach out to Bethany Teach at 515-991-2522 or Sarah Hoban 715-892-1292 if you have any questions. Thanks!

2026 8U DUGOUT AID

New this year: Seeking one designated parent to manage the dugout per game.

Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting with batting rotation, helping players on the bench watch the game and be involved, and overall team/coach support.

This should be a parent or family member on the team playing that night.

2026 FIELD PREP

Prep the field prior to games. No experience necessary. We have easy-to-use instructions and videos available on our Website! (They are linked below as well!)

Feel free to sign up for any field on the list - it does not need to be a field your child is going to use. Home team is listed in the sign up sheet for your convenience.

*Please note: The end time for each session is the time the game is scheduled to START. Please ensure field prep is complete at least 15 min prior to this. Pending if there is another game/high school practice on the field prior, field prep can be done any time of day as long as it's done before the game.

Please reach out to Jamie T (815-347-9177) if you plan to field prep early as you will need access to the shed.
