Ongoing Progress Updates
October 13, 2026 | LYS Brandy Park Committee
The committee shifted from broad planning toward fundraising and implementation. Members began developing outreach to LYS families, local businesses, and community organizations, including mailed donation requests, online giving through the LYS website, donor tracking, and future sponsorship opportunities. The group also continued planning the concession stand, identified field-maintenance equipment and storage needs, discussed professional evaluation of the existing irrigation system, and began organizing project needs and costs so improvements can be prioritized and funded.
October 6, 2026 | Brandy Park Commission
LYS presented its initial working proposal for the future of Brandy Park to the Commission. The proposal outlined near-term field and facility improvements, a goal of having playable fields and permanent concessions for the 2027 season, and a longer-term vision that includes additional training facilities and a possible third field. The proposal was presented as a starting point rather than a finished plan, allowing the Commission time to review it and provide feedback before the plan is refined further.
September 22, 2026 | LYS Brandy Park Committee
LYS reestablished a focused Brandy Park planning effort and began developing a more complete long-term vision for the facility. The committee identified immediate priorities for the existing fields, concessions, irrigation, dugouts, field equipment, and storage, along with longer-term goals including a third field and batting and pitching facilities. The group also identified a number of questions for the Brandy Park Commission related to approvals, funding, maintenance responsibilities, sponsorships, and future facility use.
